Co-Founders: John Pray & Ankit Anand

Suitebird is a "free-to-use", real time assistance tool that connects seniors and their families to a real personal guide (Navigator) ready to help them find their "perfect place" for their next "nest" (home). Suitebird has Member Communities (seniors homes) and Partner organizations (homecare. moving consultants, pharmacy, realtors) who pay a monthly membership and referral fees to Suitebird. We are simple to use, local in focus and personal in service.

Fraud Hunters Canada

Founder: Jason Tschetter

Fraud Hunters Canada is a cybercrimes detection platform that works with RCMP cybercrimes units to aid them in preparing their counter fraud techniques, how to properly address victims of Fraud and to give victims of fraud their best chance at recovering their stollen assets. We are aiding RCMP in pressing charges internationally against criminal organizations that have political connections to see them shut down.

Simply Best Underpinnings

Founder: Tamara Krawchuk

Simply Best is looking to implement their scalable, innovative manufacturing and distribution business model that creates custom shape-wear in one fitting for ANY BODY, because people come in all shapes, sizes, and proportions. Currently, this kind of custom work, manually creating garments that shape and support the body, is specialized, expensive, and inaccessible to the average person. By launching our patented system and method, we will license, franchise, and train others in this process, ultimately closing the current market gap existing between the high demand for custom garments and the low number of producers able to supply premium and accessible products.

Founder: Kelise Williams

UpRow is a comprehensive mobile app designed to streamline the immigration process for newcomers to Canada. We provide a one-stop solution offering services from immigration professionals, career coaching, language tutoring, to housing and utilities, serving immigrants who seek a seamless transition into their new home country. Our mission is to empower immigrants by providing them with the necessary tools and resources to successfully integrate into Canadian society and thrive in their new environment.

Founder: Dani Strang

Maggie is a modern EdTech and Social Impact platform designed to shift how the ideas, perspectives and opinions of women advance businesses & communities; using magazines as a catalyst. It's for women (cis, trans, non-binary) who recognize that something is stopping them from FULLY and AUTHENTICALLY expressing their ideas when needed most. We are helping women unlearn what's stopping them and rebuild NEW neurological pathways that increase their presence, communication and confidence in a world that doesn't take what they need to say seriously.

Founder: Leyla Kara

SpectraCann is building world’s first rapid onsite THC screening test, with unmatched accuracy, reliability, and accessibility! They are on a mission to empower law enforcement and society by providing a cutting-edge, portable THC breathalyzer that quickly and accurately detects presence of THC within the impairment window. This innovative technology not only helps in holding impaired drivers accountable but also aids in reducing workplace incidents. By offering rapid, reliable results, they provide unprecedented visibility, information, and insights into THC driven impairment, challenging the traditional solutions and transitioning from guesswork to certainty in mere seconds.

TreeKO Arborist Services

Co-Founders: Jesse Masser & Stephen Imbrogno

TreeKO Arborist Services is dedicated to providing arborists, corporations, and municipalities with cutting-edge negative rigging solutions. We are committed to improving standards and promoting safe work practices through innovative training methods and unique products. Through our efforts, we hope to significantly reduce the high incident rate faced by tree workers.

Alberta Catalyzer is a merit-based pre-accelerator that offers company support, resources, and coaching to entrepreneurs aiming to launch and grow their tech-enabled companies, preparing them for advancement to the scale-up and acceleration stages.

Launched in 2022, Alberta Catalyzer is developed and delivered by Platform Calgary and Edmonton Unlimited, with support from partners and organizations across the Alberta Innovation Network.

Alberta Catalyzer is a part of the Alberta Scaleup and Growth Accelerator Program (Scaleup GAP), led by Alberta Innovates. The consortium, which also includes Technology and Innovation, Edmonton Unlimited, the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund and Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan), allocated $35 million over three years to retain business accelerators. It’s part of an overall government goal to help create 20,000 jobs and increase technology firm revenue to $5 billion by 2030. 

Alberta Catalyzer is open to ALL entrepreneurs launching and growing a tech-enabled company in Alberta – which includes the development of a new solution, product or process that has the potential to improve or advance the industry with commercial viability.
